The Academies’ members are outstanding researchers from Germany and abroad. The Academies decide upon joint projects in their Standing Committee. For the initiative “Energy Systems of the Future”, acatech is the lead institution. The publications of the Academies’ Initiative are approved by the ESYS Directorate and published by the Academies in the series Schriftenreihe zur wissenschaftsbasierten Politikberatung (Monograph Series on Science-based Policy Advice) or in the “Energy Systems of the Future” series.
