About
Bastian Zachmann studied mechatronics / energy economics (B. Eng.) at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Mannheim in cooperation with Netze BW GmbH and engineering and management (M. Sc.) at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. In his studies, he focussed on renewable energies, energy trading, energy management and energy engineering as part of a specialization in energy technologies and energy management.
From 2017 to 2019, he worked as a consultant in the Corporate Development, Strategy & Energy Management department at EnBW AG. From 2020 to 2023, he worked as a research assistant at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences in the Kopernikus project SynErgie and at Fraunhofer ISI in the Energy Policy and Energy Markets business unit. Since August 2023, he has been working as Portfolio Manager Renewable Energies at MVV Trading.
