Member of the Board
Udo Sieverding joined the Verbraucherzentrale NRW e.V. in 1998, working primarily in topics concerning climate protection. Since 2007 he is in charge of the Energy Section and meanwhile member of the Executive Board of the Verbraucherzentrale NRW e.V. Udo Sieverding is a known expert in the fields of energy transition (German Energiewende), energy markets and energy policy.
With the initiative “Energy Systems of the Future” (ESYS), acatech – National Academy of Science and Engineering, the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities provide impulses for the debate on the challenges and opportunities of the German energy transition. The Academies’ Project assembles more than 160 experts from science and research to develop policy options for the implementation of a secure, affordable and sustainable energy supply. ESYS was launched in April 2013 and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). For this project, acatech is the lead institution.
