About

Soeren Schoebel holds the professorship for Landscape Architecture of Regional Open Space at the Faculty of Architecture at TUMsince 2005. He researches the integration of wind energy and photovoltaic plants in urban and cultural landscapes in relation to the social goals of landscape development, Baukultur and acceptance.
As an expert, he deals with the compatibility of renewable energies with the landscape, landscape-shaping monuments and World Cultural Heritage sites.
He is a member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning (DASL), the Bavarian Academy of Rural Space and the research network WindForS.

In the ESYS project, Soeren Schoebel contributes his expertise to the working group "Development of photovoltaics and wind energy".
