About
Jonathan Meinhof became a Doctoral Researcher at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in October 2018. Beforehand, he graduated in Economics at the University of Cologne and also studied in Frankfurt (Goethe University) and Shenzhen (Peking University, China). His research areas are Energy Economics and applied Microeconomics. In particular, he is interested in the transformation of the energy sector towards an emission free sector and how this transformation can be achieved efficiently using market-based incentives and regulatory instruments. At ESYS, he is part of the group „electricity market of the future“.
