About
Benjamin Scharte is head of the Risk and Resilience Research Team at the Center for Security Studies (CSS). His research focuses on resilience, critical infrastructure protection and the links between technological and societal solutions to enhance civil security. Before joining the CSS, he was part of the Strategic Management Team at the Fraunhofer-Institute for High-Speed Dynamics, Ernst-Mach-Institut, EMI, in Freiburg, Germany. He was also previously Managing Director of the Sustainability Center Freiburg.
