Ulrich Glotzbach is Chief Policy Advice Officer and Head of the Berlin Office. Until May 2021 he was Head of the ESYS Project Office. Before he joined acatech in 2008, he was responsible for the coordination of a research association for mobile information and communication technology. He earned a PhD in philosophy with a thesis on the relationship between technology and ethics. After his graduation in chemistry, electrical engineering and philosophy, he developed solar plants in Southern France and worked as a project engineer in the field of environmental protection and microsystem technology.
