The transformation of energy systems at European level can only succeed if all member States work together. With the Energy Union, the European Union is attempting to make the energy system sustainable, secure and affordable in the long term. The steering possibilities that European energy policy needs were explored at the expert discussion "Governance for a European Energy Union" on 23 April in Berlin.
With the event, the ESYS working group invited experts from science, business, politics and civil society to discuss interim results of its work. The results will feed into the drafting of the position paper, which is due to be published in autumn.
